Rokkon Sukke Tokubetsu Junmai - 720ml
Rokkon Sukke Tokubetsu Junmai is an innovative sake crafted with white koji, a departure from the traditional yellow koji used in Japanese sake brewing. Fujii (Hiroshima)
Ryusei Baira Tokubetsu Junmai - 720ml
Discover a new style of sake brewed in a historic townscape! In 1863, during the final days of the Edo period, the first Zenshichi established a sake brewery in Takehara, a town blessed with exceptional brewing water. Since its founding, the flagship brand, Ryusei, has proudly upheld its commitment to pure rice sake. Though production was interrupted after the war when pure rice sake was banned, the brand was revived over 30 years later by the fifth-generation brewer and continues to flourish today. Ryusei BAILA embodies the artistry of sake brewing, offering a harmonious balance of flavours. A mellow sweetness and umami from high-quality rice and meticulous craftsmanship pair beautifully with refreshing acidity and light spiciness. Subtle astringency and bitterness provide structure, while its crisp finish and lingering depth create a sake of exceptional complexity and elegance. This sake is designed to enhance the flavours of food, bringing out their individuality while complementing them seamlessly. Fujii Sake Brewery’s philosophy of crafting "sake that highlights the uniqueness of food" aligns perfectly with Motox’s vision, resulting in a synergy that elevates the dining experience. The name BAIRA is inspired by "Haira Taisho," one of the 12 guardian deities of Yakushi Nyorai, tasked with taming wild dragons to maintain harmony. Reflecting this inspiration, Ryusei BAILA balances the bold, robust qualities typical of Fujii Sake Brewery with a softness and smoothness that ensures it's easy to drink and universally loved. Delight in its delicate aroma reminiscent of white flower nectar, complemented by a rich, full-bodied flavour and bright acidity. Despite its depth, Ryusei BAIRA finishes clean, making it the perfect pairing for hearty dishes like spare ribs or other meat-based fare. A sake designed to captivate the palate and elevate any meal.
