Product information "Masu - Wooden Sake Cup"

A masu is a traditional Japanese square wooden cup, originally used to measure rice during the feudal period. Today, it is mainly used during the Kagami Biraki ceremony. For such special occasions, the masu is often engraved, allowing guests to keep it as a memento. Masu are typically made of cypress wood, which imparts a subtle, pleasant fragrance to the sake.
This masu is branded with the Kikusui Brewery logo.
